Privacy Policy

ConvertKaki is designed to work without knowing who you are. There are no user accounts, no sign-ups, no tracking cookies, and no advertising identifiers. This policy explains the small amount of data that is processed to make the Service work.

• Video links you paste are processed transiently in memory to look up the video and its available formats. They are not saved to a database.
• Converted files are streamed directly from the source to your device in real time. No copy of any video, audio, or thumbnail is stored on our servers.
• A short-lived cacheof video metadata (title, duration, available formats) is kept in server memory for roughly 15 minutes so that your download click doesn’t repeat the lookup. It expires automatically and is never written to disk.

• No names, email addresses, or account credentials — the Service has no accounts.
• No tracking or advertising cookies.
• No third-party analytics or advertising scripts.
• No download history tied to you.
• We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties for marketing.

Like virtually all web services, our infrastructure may keep standard technical logs (IP address, browser user agent, request time and path) for security monitoring, abuse prevention, and debugging. Logs are kept only as long as operationally necessary and are not used to build profiles.

When you convert a link, our server contacts YouTube’s public infrastructure on your behalf to retrieve the media. Your browser does not communicate with YouTube directly through this Service — even thumbnails are relayed through our own servers. Content retrieved from YouTube remains subject to Google’s own privacy practices on their servers.

The Service is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly process personal data from them.

Data in transit between your browser and the Service is protected with HTTPS when deployed with TLS. Because nothing personal is stored, there is essentially no personal data at rest to breach.

We may update this policy from time to time; the “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision.
